Today I received this letter in my mail. Marina, “In our school, rich children began to be fed separately from students from poor families,” writes Olga, mother of a student at school no. 24 in Samara. I am the mother of a primary school student at MBOU Secondary School No. 24 in Samara. My child, like some other children in our class, is entitled to free meals at this school. Children study in the second shift and only have one meal. However, despite the free food, we (that is, the parents who receive benefits) pay 484 rubles monthly. However, in our school there has been some conflict regarding the organization and provision of subsidized meals. The fact is that the children in the class are divided into tables into so-called “paid” and “free” students. That is, children are seated according to a given payment criterion at different tables. Moreover, they have different menus. That is, for “paying customers” it is always full and consists of two dishes and a drink. “Free students” are served other dishes, mostly porridge, for example with sausage (they don’t give soup at all). If the state provides children from low-income and socially vulnerable families with the opportunity to eat free at school twice a day (breakfast and lunch), then what do we pay for? 484 rubles? If this is how we pay the difference in subsidies, then why do our children still eat differently? We understand that local authorities must do everything possible to not only provide free hot breakfasts and lunches to all benefit categories of schoolchildren, but also provide quality meals to all students, without exception. If there is not enough funding, the administration of the educational institution can petition higher-level organizations to increase funding from reserve and alternative sources of funds. The schoolchildren were seated at two tables according to this payment criterion. Moreover, they have different menus. Our children no longer want to eat in the canteen, because the dishes for the “free” students, according to them, are not tasty (and sometimes cold). division into two camps, rich and poor. AND WHERE???? In the school, in the place in which: kindness, compassion, empathy should be instilled in him, dignity, principles, humanity should be instilled in him.. ..from childhood, the child is made to feel disadvantaged, inhibited, somehow not what he should be in order to eat at that table. But what about such a proud word MAN or does it matter at school?...Me? They didn’t ask me to help in any way, and unfortunately, there was no way I could do it. My parents just asked me to sign a petition, apparently to our authorities..
