Addiction...It has many faces, but the true one is hidden deep! It’s difficult to get to the bottom of it, there are many combination locks above it that need to be solved! Step by step, all the new puzzles that develop in childhood in the form of defenses against stressful situations, in the form of blocks against the inability to resist reality! And by gradually opening these locks, building trust, creating security and support, you can come to the true cause of addiction... And it will be emotional! Emotional dependence on other people and it manifests itself in the fact that there are people who are more significant than myself!!! There is no value for your own life and therefore no value for yourself! Therefore, addiction can manifest itself not only from chemicals, but also from people! The opinion of a wife or husband is more important than one’s own; the decision of the mother or father is more important than your own; the choice of behavior depends on the opinions of others... The feeling as if there is no one’s own support, in making a decision you always want to rely on someone’s opinion or advice! Metaphorically, it’s similar to how a small child went out into the big world alone and got lost, doesn’t know what he needs, doesn’t know what to do and is looking for an adult who can help him find himself. This child went out into the world with no value of his own, so he will chase after something. This child has no confidence. He's scared of everything! And then he finds a “house of salvation” to cope with the fear of an unfamiliar world - in the form of alcohol, in the form of drugs, food, shopping, computer games in the form of a safe virtual reality... Another “house of salvation” can be in a relationship - they grabbed each other like a mother’s skirt. And not because it’s love, but because it’s scary without each other! This, so to speak, child may already be 20, 30, 40 or even 70 years old according to his passport! So it turns out that a person may not drink alcohol, but be an addicted person. Since this is an emotional sphere, there are no pills that can cure addiction! It was not, no, and it is not possible to create! Treatment will be in the form of psychological work on cultivating one’s personality, so that internal support would appear to get out of addiction!
