About the here and now, which is difficult to be in, or why we often believe that it was better in the past and are nostalgic. Our mental structure is designed in such a way that we keep all the good things for ourselves, and take out all the bad things or forget them, so the bad does not destroy our Self. This is a healthy option. This explains that we want to return to the past - after all, it was so good there, but now there is only room for memories and nostalgia. And in the future, everything will be fine. It’s unlikely that anyone dreams that bad things will happen to them. No. The future seems to us beautiful, with dreams come true. In the present there are no good moments from the past, no dreams come true from the future, in the present there is only the present: goals, desires, lack, actions, problems, let’s add drama, big problems. So here we are. It will always be like this. Consciousness is a tool for solving problems. If there is something in consciousness, and there is always something in consciousness while we are alive, this is what needs to be solved, this is what we think about, this is a task, and it seems difficult. The problems are difficult because we have not solved them before. Everything that we have already decided and everything that has been worked out is in the unconscious and works “by itself” - a healthy organ does not make itself felt, it just exists and simply performs its function, as soon as the organ gets sick, its settings are lost, it comes out into consciousness in the form of painful sensations, discomfort, anxiety and the search for a solution begins, conscious processing. All that is in consciousness are problems that need to be solved. This is the answer why it is so sweet to remember the past and dream about the future, and not be here both now and in consciousness, and why being in the moment is a skill that requires training and will not develop on its own. Here and now there is a changed context that needs to be constantly recognized and studied in order to feel good. Change your wardrobe to suit the weather, at a minimum . Job. School. Clinic. Neighbours. Friends. Shopping, groceries, personal care. Financial issues, formed habits. A whole tangle of stories, feelings and emotions rolls out, which in the new conditions, it turns out, are not configured to work as before. And how differently, we still have to find. This whole range of experiences intensifies when moving. When the old way does not work, and the new way is not established, when the context is at the stage of recognition, when suddenly you are faced with your desire to create a recognizable and invariably stable world around you, instead of getting to know it every minute.
