Theme of the week: “Envy. Facets of envy.” Envy is the desire to possess what you don’t have. Envy is condemned by society, religion, ethics and was condemned within the framework of communist ideology. Soviet people could not envy. At the same time, envy exists. It makes them “wither”, “turn green”, and in some cases envy is called white. Envy and childhood. I remember phrases that are typical for children: “Envy is not beautiful.”, “Didn’t your mother teach you that envy is bad?” I think that from childhood, from our childhood for sure, envy was banned. Although there is plenty of envy in childhood. Someone paints their lips, she can, but you can’t. Someone built a beautiful castle in a sandbox and showed imagination and dexterity, but you didn’t succeed. Someone found pebbles in the yard, but no one else has them. Someone has good grades, diplomas, and other material opportunities. Depth of envy. Deep envy leads to feelings of guilt and correlates with jealousy. Intense envy is energy-consuming and destructive. This envy shifts the focus from your own life to someone else's. A person thinks in those categories where he seeks confirmation of thoughts that others do not deserve what they have, that it is not fair and that they came to their results easily. These thoughts take a person away from reality and give a feeling of hopelessness. I think that there is no constructive analysis of one’s life and possibilities. White envy is less intense, which is why it received this color. It is associated with admiration, for example, of someone's talent. This envy is adjacent to joy. This envy stimulates a person to take action, to take a resource for himself from the feeling of envy. A person sees that others have something and it works. This does not drive him into thoughts about the hopelessness of his life, but leads him to thoughts that I, too, can or can change my life for the better. Others can. Envy does not require large differences. As a striking example, we can cite the words of V. FRANKL, the founder of logotherapy, who went through a concentration camp: “We saw prisoners passing by - prisoners of an ordinary prison. And we envied them. ...They are probably provided with at least some kind of hygiene, they have bath days, we thought sadly. They probably had toothbrushes, and maybe even clothesbrushes. They had bunks - everyone had their own! And they could receive letters every month, they knew what was happening to their loved ones, at least whether they were alive; and we have long been deprived of all this.”Envy has many facets. To summarize, envy is a reason to think about your needs, desires, dreams.❓What is frustrating?❓What do you forbid yourself to dream about?❓Why is it difficult to look at the topic of envy and explore it?❓What happens if you admit that Are you jealous?❓What prohibitions do you have on achieving your goals?❓What practical steps are you already taking towards yourself and getting your results??
