From the author: In the process of writing this article, I relied on the materials presented in the books and publications of K.G. Jung, Hayo Banzhaf, A. Crowley, I. Trizna, S. Heller, R. Gwaine, O. Telemsky, E. Monique, D. Fowles, as well as personal and professional experience. As illustrations, I use Aleister Crowley’s Thoth Tarot cards, Rosetta (the female analogue of the Thoth deck), and the Tarot of Marseilles as my favorite ones. Girl. Stage two. Arcana VII Chariot. The card depicts a meditating warrior in golden armor. He is completely immersed inside, he has mastered spiritual power, but his chariot is still standing still. The warrior holds in his hands the Holy Grail, which symbolizes the Divine power flowing through us and the search for the Higher Self. Four sphinxes are harnessed to the chariot. Black sphinxes represent melancholy, they have turned away from life and block the road. White sphinxes personify the bright part of the personality and are turned towards life. The card symbolizes still young, but already stable self-confidence, which is able to overcome the contradictions between feelings and thoughts, will and instinct, dream and real embodiment. This lasso is the archetype of travel as such. And the question arises: what is the wanderer looking for on his way? The Holy Grail, which means that any journey is just a reflection in the material world of a journey invisible to the eye - a journey into the depths of oneself. And what do we see on the map? That the traveler, ready to set out on a journey, already holds in his hands the coveted treasure - that very cup, that is, his Higher Self. In fact, what is self-development? This is the development of the self. If we try to explain this phenomenon, we can say that all our capabilities are inherent in us from the very moment of our birth, but they lie there in the form of potential that can be manifested throughout life. And then self-development can be explained as the discovery, awareness, activation and actualization of one’s capabilities, comparison with one’s opposites (according to the principle of duality) and knowledge of oneself in integrity. In this way, we not only get to know ourselves and the world around us, but also learn the possibilities of our influence on changing both. This process is endless, and as a process it can stop at those moments when a person suddenly decides that he has learned the truth. The book of Tao Ching says: If the truth is spoken, the essence will perish, and speech will come out. If you name a name, then it is not a name, but a lie. Understanding that absolute truth is not achievable, it simply does not exist, makes us not only tolerant of ourselves and others, but also allows us to maintain a genuine interest in understanding the world. Arcana Chariot means, that childhood was left in the past at the very moment when the choice was made in favor of life and freedom in the Lovers card. Now the girl enters the dual world, the world of opposites, which she needs to realize, accept and combine at the highest level into one whole. The map warns that at this stage you cannot get carried away by any of the opposites (do not choose only dark or only light sphinxes ), but learn to control them in order to use all their strength to solve the problems that the traveler faces at this stage. It is also important to accurately calculate your strengths so as not to overestimate your capabilities and not go astray because of this. This stage can also be called the stage of ego development. I have already quoted Jung about the need to avoid the calls of some “gurus” to avoid developing the Ego. Without a highly developed Ego, it is impossible to find your Holy Grail, so at this stage you have to live what is called “in sin,” that is, leave the divine, completely immersed in the material world, solving its everyday problems. Here it is appropriate to ask ourselves the question: are we choosing our own path ? And the answer to this question is no, it is the road that chooses us. Many fairy tales say that the road is different. If you go to the right, one thing will happen; straight or left is completely different. However, it is quite possible that all three roads starting from the stone at the fork lead to the same
