From the author: Published for the first time as part of a professional article competition The sand lay, The sand was bored For a hundred thousand years, probably. He was terribly lonely, and it was bad. The songs of thunderstorms were not a joy, The rain from clouds was not a joy. He was bored in the heat, he was bored in the cold - The whole world was boring to the sand... And so for another hundred thousand years He would have remained despondent, But he was brought to us at dawn, And he is not bored, not at all, In the sandbox from now on. (V. Bredikhin )30 years ago a girl was playing in the courtyard of a military border town. She built tunnels and houses, vegetable gardens and squares, bridges and castles from sand. The inhabitants of these sand villages were Snake, Mickey Mouse, Kangaroo and their friends. Time flew quickly with this exciting game of creating fairy-tale worlds. So quickly that the girl looked around and discovered that she was no longer in the yard, but in a cozy office and was playing not in a large sandbox, but in another, smaller one with blue sides, and other people and their children. So many years ago I began my journey through the sands to the inner world of man. At first it was a search for personal solitude and new emotional impressions, now it is a professional interest in the field of psychological assistance to people of different ages through sand therapy techniques. A serious passion for sand therapy began in 2002 with the purchase of Lenore Steinhardt’s book “Jungian Sand Psychotherapy.” Somewhat later, I created my first client sand composition at a seminar with story therapist from St. Petersburg D. B. Kudzilov. Then, in 2006, this composition clarified many points for me: how to forgive offenses, where and in what way to “go” next, how I can use my resources. The legitimate conclusion was that if it worked and improved my quality of life, then perhaps it would help a lot of other people too. I will not go into the historical and theoretical aspects of the emergence and development of sand therapy. I would like to note that behind this is the founder of the Jungian movement in psychoanalysis, Carl-Gustav Jung, who supported his colleague, Swiss psychoanalyst Dora Kalff, in the development of this method. So why did I choose the integrative approach in sand therapy? Our client of the post-Soviet space and the client of modern Kazakhstan is ready to solve problematic aspects of his life and is ready to improve the quality of his life, but, unfortunately, is not ready to engage in psychotherapy for years, as the deep analytical Jungian approach suggests. In solving this organizational problem: how to combine the quality of work and the timing of psychological assistance, an integrative approach helps, which allows the psychologist, focusing on the client, to use all his skills in the specializations that he owns. My searches and tests about the possibilities of integrating sand therapy were confirmed by Barbara Labovitz Boik and Anna Goodwin in the book “Sand- play therapy: a step-by-step manual for psychotherapists of diverse orientation” (“Norton & Company”, 2000) [1], saying that sandplay “serves as an adjunct therapy, making sandplay available for use by therapists of various orientations". [2] I also found a search for scientific possibilities for integrating sand therapy with other areas of practical psychology in the works of Doctor of Psychology, Professor V.V. Kozlov, who writes that “... the future of human science lies in integrative psychotherapy. It takes into account not only the spiritual dimensions of human existence, but is also commensurate with the everydayness of human existence and instrumentally adapted to its problems of life in society.” [3] These masters of modern psychological science and practice confirmed my choice in using an integrative approach that expands the capabilities of a psychologist, psychotherapist and other specialists in helping professions. As a researcher, having experienced many psychotechnologies on myself, I realized that sand therapy can be integrated with many technologies, where at the core
