Why do different people perceive the same reality in different ways? What is the reason that some people make mountains out of molehills, others do exactly the opposite, and still others perceive a molehill as a fly, and an elephant, like an elephant? What underlies each person’s perception of a certain reality? The husband stays at work 2 hours later than usual and does not answer phone calls. What do you think and what does this mean for YOU? 1) he is with his mistress, 2) he earns money for his family, 3) he communicates with friends (colleagues), 4) something bad happened to him, 5) it happens that he may come back tired. And what do YOU do? 1) get offended, 2) do ordinary things, 3) go to your friends or take care of yourself, 4) find no place for yourself, calling every minute, 5) cook something delicious. We exist in the external world incentives. A person adapts and turns the stimuli of external reality into his internal one, that is, he chooses the reality that is familiar to him, consonant with internal beliefs, ideas, and attitudes. People have a hard time accepting a different version of reality. They think that their perception is not distorted in any way, because for everyone reality is reality (that is, a rabbit is a rabbit, and a banana is a banana). However, everyone perceives reality with OUR OWN story, thus we distort the world according to our DESIGN. Why is this so? During the course of life, a person develops various beliefs, attitudes, and ideas. They are quite stable and are not always the focus of attention. What is the norm, and what is the pathology? Any information received by a person is distorted depending on his individual characteristics, beliefs, and values. This is the norm! Such a distortion becomes a problem if it results in persistent negative experiences that lead to disruption of the person’s adaptation process. How often have you noticed that your thought causes negative inappropriate emotions, reactions, actions? What is the difference between a thought, a belief and a deep belief? Thoughts that cause negative inappropriate emotions and actions are dysfunctional. They appear automatically, as if reflexively to some external factors. These are neural connections in the brain that arise as impulses along the usual route. Beliefs are a system of internal relationships, rules, assumptions of a person, on the basis of which automatic thoughts arise. Deep beliefs are those beliefs that can develop at any age, starting from 2 years old. They appear as a reaction, either to an emotionally charged event, or as a result of some constantly recurring factors. Deep beliefs are outside the focus of consciousness and have an evaluative function (good or bad) and unconsciously lead to certain thoughts, reactions and behavior of a person. Why do people step on the same rake? After all, many people are familiar with finding themselves in similar problematic situations. And how do various types of disorders appear - mental, emotional and behavioral (neuroses, psychosomatic disorders, depression, panic attacks, mental illness and others)? This kind of disorder is the result of incorrect decisions, that is, a system of deep-seated ideas, beliefs and attitudes that have been reinforced many times, and are constantly self-confirming in the process of life. In this way, identical (fixed) forms of behavior are formed as a reaction to certain events. - Solving a current problem (problems), - developing skills for the successful organization of one’s life, analyzing and solving problems in the present and future, preventing their negative development, - developing a more adaptive perception of reality and behavior during any external events, - development of skills of introspection, self-analysis, - mastery of self-help techniques, - elaboration of negative emotional experience...
