A woman always wants to get married, and men are always interested in sex. Perhaps these are the most common misconceptions or, in scientific terms, gender stereotypes, from which many myths were born. Recently, the topic of gender stereotypes was raised at a supervisory group. Before I tell you what I'm talking about, I recommend doing a little experiment. Why now? So that what I write next does not affect you. So. You can test yourself if you are a man, or ask a male friend if you are a woman. What do you think (or feel) what emotions does the question of an unfamiliar (and sometimes familiar) unmarried woman from the series: “How much do you earn” evoke in a representative of the stronger half of humanity? In most cases, a man will be at least wary, and at most angry. If you understand this reaction, then, most likely, you will come to the conclusion that somewhere in the subconscious a thought flashed: “Why is she asking? Maybe she has designs on me? The legs of such a reaction precisely grow from a stereotype: all unmarried women are constantly in search of a future husband or partner, which means this question is the beginning of an attack on me, a man. A softer option: the woman has already begun to decide whether to attack me or not. Is this really true? In some situations yes, in others no. How things are in each specific case depends only on the individual woman. A single (single, unmarried) woman is not necessarily in search. She may be busy with other issues: career, mother’s illness, apartment renovations…. yes with anything. Or maybe really looking for a husband... or work. If the latter, she asks because she is trying on whether the new employer offered her a normal salary. If the first is yes, maybe she liked you. Another stereotype: a man always wants sex. Armed with such knowledge, many women are hostile to any attempts by a man to talk about something or simply pay attention. But men, like women, are very different and, turning to a woman, a man may not want to get laid at the moment, but to chat, take his mind off his worries, or, for example, just help. Why am I saying all this: if it seems to you that the interlocutor thinks (means) this and that - try to clarify the situation. You will learn a lot of interesting things and life will become clearer and more diverse..
