These are photographs of a cut from the trunk of a huge, THREE THOUSAND YEAR OLD (just think!) sequoia... Look how many rings replace each other. In the very center of the trunk is the first ring, which was a thin, fragile tree when it first began to grow. This ring is here to stay! It's still here, inside every redwood tree! Also, the baby we were born with has not gone away, it is still alive in us! Both a small child and a teenager, with great interest in the world, with fears and anxieties, great love for mom and dad, grievances and a desire to play! We have it all. And the deeper the contact with all our “rings”, the stronger and richer we are as individuals.
