This topic is inspired by a topic on the psychological forum B17. In this article I want to: 1 🤍 support everyone who has ever fallen for the tricks of scammers, 2 🗣 talk about what reasons serve as a reason to be a victim of scammers🤍 You must always remember that anyone can fall for the tricks of scammers, regardless of gender, age, education and experience. Because on the other side there are trained people who know how to bring up a conversation, what exactly and when to say to establish trusting contact, where to distract and where to put pressure. In addition, today scammers have already come up with many fraud schemes, and no one will be able to track everything. If you become a victim of scammers, it is very unpleasant, and most importantly scary, because most often, when analyzing the situation, you understand that there were enough “bells” to stop communication or at least check the accuracy of the proposed facts. But during a conversation, victims of scammers often describe their state as being under hypnosis or something similar.🤍 In any case, I advise you to accept what happened, thank fate for the lesson and make sure that in any situation you maintain a clear mind.🗣 You need to remember, that everyone who is at least a little socially active sooner or later encounters scammers or an offer to participate in a scam. 1️⃣ And the first reason why a person follows the lead of scammers is trust caused by inexperience and ignorance. When a person does not know the nuances of working in a particular area due to little experience or has not considered it necessary to study the nuances of working or using something. A certain desire or habit to go with the flow. (For example, sales on Avito - the seller entrusts control of the situation to a stranger and sends the goods without receiving payment). 2️⃣ Also a very common reason for being deceived is fear. Fear, fueled by scammers by spreading panic and offering help. Agree, if you are stuck in a burning building, and a person comes to you and says: “follow me,” you are unlikely to care who he is, because staying = death, so it is here : you are so overwhelmed by fear that your brain perceives it as a threat to life, even if it really is not. Such people are characterized by increased anxiety. (Here scammers use calls with such scenarios as: “your child was in an accident, you urgently need to transfer money...”, “I’m a police major, a criminal case has been opened against you...”, “attempts are being made to withdraw money from your account ...." and many other options). 3️⃣ The next reason for falling for scammers is the thirst for easy money. And very often this is not a direct desire to deceive someone, rather it is a kind of infantilism, a desire to relieve oneself of responsibility for one’s life (to find and solve the reason for one’s situation and begin to receive money in equal exchange). In this state it is very easy to get into various kinds of financial pyramids, or becoming addicted to gambling, you can become deceived even in the desire to earn honestly, but where it seems you won’t have to put in a lot of effort or energy. Where they promise too sweet conditions, etc. Here you can track that a person quite often resorts to such decisions in life, where he actually gets rid of money. Especially when money starts coming in in larger volumes. 4️⃣ Despite all the above reasons, each of us carries some kind of pain, some problem that is currently more acute. The solution to which takes most of our attention. And if by some chance (or a complexly thought-out scheme) the fraudster recognizes your pain and is able to correctly apply pressure to the pain points, then the probability of waking up in time is close to 0. But I believe that each of us can make sure that we never go on the lead of scammers and in 99% of cases make the right decisions. I will write about how to improve this skill in the next article. And you, write what you think about this. What reasons do you know to fall for scammers??
